DOT AND DABBING

Dot and dabbing is the wider used method for getting block/brick work to a finished plastered standard. It involves sticking plaster board to the block/brick work wall with plaster, which is then straightened and leveled up followed by a skim coat to finish. 

Benefits of dot and dabbing is that it is warmer than traditional float and skimming as there is a cavity created from the block work to the board. It is also easier for when walls are way out of line, as you have much more leeway to get perfectly straight and level.
